HATTIESBURG, Miss. – There will be no Golden Eagle Hotline this week at Georgia Blue, but the show will return next Monday as it transitions to basketball programming with both Southern Miss women's basketball coach Joye Lee-McNelis and men's basketball coach Doc Sadler.
The show takes places from 12-1 p.m., on Dec. 3 and 10, before taking a hiatus for the remainder of the month. The program returns Jan. 7 and then each Monday for the remainder of the basketball regular season. McNelis will take part in the first half of the show, while Sadler will be featured in the last half hour.
The one-hour program, hosted by the Voice of the Golden Eagles John Cox, has transitioned from a dinner to a lunch show. Each week's show will be broadcast later in the day from 7-8 p.m., on the affiliates of the Southern Miss IMG Sports Network, including flagship station, WXRR-FM, Rock 104 in Hattiesburg/Laurel.
Fans at the restaurant can ask questions during the show via a microphone that will be available to the audience, while fans can send their questions in prior to the show's start time by either Twitter (@USMGoldenEagles), Facebook (Southern Miss Athletics) or email (southernmissathletics@gmail.com).
