Women's Golf Finishes First Two Rounds in Texas

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Valentina Haupt's 2-over 146 led the way for the Golden Eagle women's golf team as it completed 36 holes on Sunday in the Jim West Challenge.
The senior finished with a 2-under in the second round that allowed her to tie for 28th in the tough field. She carded four birdies in the second round with 12 pars. Henriette Syr also added five birdies.
TCU and Florida State own the top two spots with 9- and 4-unders.
The final round from the Kissing Tree Golf Clubbegins Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT.
