MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Southern Miss women's basketball team (10-7, 2-2) looks to continue its hot streak at Middle Tennessee (11-7, 3-2) Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN3.
Though this will be the 11 all-time meeting between the two programs, this will be just the third contest that has come in the Murphy Center. Southern Miss is 1-1 all-time in Murfreesboro and last win there came on Jan. 15, 2015 in a 77-75 OT affair. Southern Miss leads the all-time series 7-3.
Southern Miss' key to winning will be to get to the free throw line. The Lady Eagles are undefeated when they make more free ones than its opponent, 8-0 on the year.
The Lady Eagles' 80-63 win at UAB was the fourth time this season that the Lady Eagles have hit 80 or more points. Three Southern Miss starters, Shonte Hailes, Megan Brown and Jayla King, combined for 63 of the Black and Gold's point total.
Again, the contest will be streamed on ESPN3 and fans can listen to Josh West on the radio broadcast via The Score 1400 AM and the Southern Miss Game Day App starting 30 minutes before tipoff.
