Track and Field Hosts Southern Miss Open

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's and women's outdoor track and field team will host the Southern Miss Open Friday and Saturday.
Friday's field events are slated to start at 2:30 p.m. with the men's triple jump followed by the women, the men's hammer throw followed by the women and concluding the day with the women's javelin followed by the men.
Saturday's field events are set to start at 11:30 a.m. with the women's high jump. Running events will start at 12:10 p.m. with the women's 3000m run.
Prior to the start of Saturday's events, seven seniors will be recognized. Seniors include Dana Dillistone, Emron Gibbs, Modesty Lorick, Jazmyne Gilliam, Jamad Smith, Adriana Allen and Curtis Walker. The ceremony will begin at 11:45 am prior to the running events.
