Carson Lands Male Track Athlete of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Following a fantastic weekend, Golden Eagle Cra'vorkian Carson, was named this week's Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The junior finished first for Southern Miss in the men's 100-meter dash, clocking a 10.45 in a loaded field that included runners from Alabama, Memphis, Mississippi State, Missouri and Louisville. His time ranks first among C-USA in the event and is the sixteenth-best mark on the NCAA East Qualifying list.
Carson also ran the first leg of Southern Miss 4x100-meter relay team. The squad placed fourth with a time of 40.37.
Tuesday's honor marks Carson's first outdoor weekly award this season.
