Track and Field Hosts Annual Southern Miss Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's and women's outdoor track and field team to host the Southern Miss Invitational Friday and Saturday.
Friday's field events are slated to start at 3:30 p.m. with the women's triple jump followed by the men, the men's hammer throw followed by the women and concluding the day with the women's javelin followed by the men.
Saturday's field events are set to start at 11:30 a.m. with the women's high jump. Running events will start at 12:10 p.m. with the women's 5000m run.
Teams in attendance include, Alabama A&M, Coahoma, Louisiana Tech, Loyola-New Orleans, Meridian, Mississippi Valley, Nicholls State, Southern-New Orleans, West Florida and Southern Miss.
"We've been looking forward to competing at home in front of all our fans." Head Coach Jon Stuart said.
Coach Stuart added, "The weather is going to be great and big time talent will be on display."
