HITLON HEAD, S.C., - Southern Miss men's tennis (11-4) shut out IUPUI 5-0 in its first of three road games Wednesday afternoon.
Courts 1 and 2 secured the doubles point with a 6-1 and 6-0 result. Seniors Chao-Yu Huang and Wen-Po Tseng push their win streak to five matches after Wednesday.
Huang used his doubles momentum in singles play with an easy 6-2, 6-2 win against Kyle Whittaker on court 4. Huang has won 10 of his last 11 matches with the one match going unfinished.
Teeradon Totrakul and Jorman Reyes earned the other two points for the Golden Eagles to clinch the match. Totrakul improves to 9-4 and Reyes is now 13-1 on the season.
The Golden Eagles continue their string of road matches in South Carolina facing West Liberty tomorrow. This is the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
