Golden Eagles Look To Continue Hot Start

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Men's Tennis team looks to continue its strong start as they host South Alabama, Saturday at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles look to go 4-0 after this weekend's match. The Golden Eagles earned their first three wins after a 5-1 win against FAMU, 4-0 win against Jackson State and a 4-1 win against Alcorn State.
The Jaguars travel to Hattiesburg with a 2-2 record. The Jaguars opened up their spring season with a 4-0 win against FAU but fell to Florida State and Troy. The Jaguars defeated Charlotte 6-1 last week.
The Golden Eagles defeated the Jaguars 4-1 last season.
Jorman Reyes looks to continue his hot hand after going undefeated last weekend along with Chao-Yu Huang and Wen-Po Tseng who helped the Golden Eagles seal all three doubles points and won all three of their doubles matches 6-2, 6-1, and 6-1.
The match against South Alabama will end a 4-match home streak for Golden Eagles. The team is set to travel to face New Orleans, Lamar and University of Texas -- Rio Grande Valley before returning home in late February.
