
Men's Tennis Soar Past Mississippi College 6-1

HATTIESBURG, Miss. â€" Southern Miss Men's Tennis (7-2) soared past Mississippi College 6-1 for its third win in a row Tuesday afternoon.
No. 1 and 2 in doubles earned the quick point heading into singles action. Daniel Merker and Jorman Reyes have four wins in a row at No. 1. Reyes followed that win into singles play and is now 8-0 on the season with all eight wins on court 4. Reyes won Tuesday's match in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.
Rakshit Rishi was the only other Golden Eagle to win in straight sets. Rishi is 6-1 on the season playing at both the 5 and 6 position.
Chris Wilkins played his second match for the Golden Eagles and is now 2-0. Wilkins defeated Max Nilges 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on court 6.
The Golden Eagles are set to host Mississippi Valley State for two matches on Saturday at 10 am and 2 pm.
