Women's Basketball Announces Summer Camp Dates

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss head women's basketball coach Joye Lee-McNelis and her staff will host a variety of summer camps over two weeks in June and one date in July inside Reed Green Coliseum on the Hattiesburg campus.
The camps will run on June 1-2, June 5-6, June 8, June 9, June 13-14 and July 31 and will cover individual and teams from ages 5 and up.
Beginning June 1-2, the first camp is set as day camp open to participants ages 5-7 from 9 a.m. to noon and for ages 8-10 from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $50.
On June 5-6 a camp is offered to the Elite Camp for participants in grades 9-12. Designed for the elite and extremely skilled athlete, competition will be at a high level and is aimed for players who have competed at a high state or national level. Registration for this event is $125 for overnight campers and $100 for commuters.
A position camp is offered on June 8 for ages 11-13 and on June 9 for ages 14-seniors in high school form 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cost before June 1 is $70 and $80 after deadline and walkups. $60 for 10 or more players from the same team.
On June 13-14, the program will host their team shootout open to all junior varsity, varsity and AAU teams. Certified officials will call all varsity and AAU games with a guarantee of three games. Cost for the event is $250 per team for one day, $500 for two-day participation.
The final camp will be a single-day Elite Day Camp on July 31 and is designed to work specifically on position play, as well as teach the game of basketball through station work, position work and competition. The camp is open to campers grades 9 up through grade 12 and is $50.
