Chao-Yu Huang Wins Big At The Big Easy Classic

New Orleans, La. – Southern Miss men's tennis player Chao-Yu Huang needed three sets Saturday to capture the UNO Big Easy Classic in singles action at the University of New Orleans.
Huang battled in a three-set win against Karan Salwan of Xavier University of Louisiana. Huang came back after a 4-6 loss in set one and won the next two 6-1, 10-5. Huang beat Efrin of Alabama State easily 6-2, 6-2.
Mikhail Esipov also made his way to the championships in singles action and faced Federico Staksrud. Despite early success in the tournament, Esipov fell 6-3, 6-1 in the finals.
Huang ends the Golden Eagles fall season on a high note.
