Kelly Erasmus Named C-USA Golfer of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss senior Kelly Erasmus was named the C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week after finishing three-under at the Golden Eagle Jam.
Erasmus finished in second place in a field of 55 at the Golden Eagle Jam. She tallied 15 birdies, four on her last six holes, throughout the event. One of them come on hole 18 that was set up by a clutch 15 foot putt to finish the third round at 68 and four under par. Erasmus' finish of 213 is the second best finish for a player in a 54-hole tournament in school history and her third round is tied for second lowest round in school history. Erasmus' finish also help the team tie the school record for lowest round, 289. Her low score, especially her play on the last five holes of the third round, was key to helping the Golden Eagles walk away with a one stroke win. This is Erasmus' first C-USA Player of the Week award of her career.
