Golden Eagles Set to Compete in Vanderbilt Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's and women's indoor track and field teams head to Nashville, Tenn. to compete in the two-day Vanderbilt Invitational.
Events are set to start Friday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Student Rec Center in Nashville. The Golden Eagles will be back in action the following day, Saturday, Jan. 30, starting at 10 a.m.
"I am excited to travel to Vanderbilt this weekend," said head coach Jon Stuart. "The meet is very important for us. It is a fast facility with a lot of good teams entered, including some of the better teams in Conference USA. We are going to have to bring our A game and just continue the process of getting better and competing well."
"This meet and the next couple meets are going to be to just continue the building process and getting better each week," Stuart added. "I like this trip and I like the facility."
