Women's Golf in 17th-Place at Rebel Intercollegiate

Oxford, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team is in 17th-place after one round of the Rebel Intercollegiate, hosted by Ole Miss. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,210-yard Ole Miss Golf Course.
The Lady Eagles shot a 319 to sit 31-over par, 10 shots behind Mercer and Tulsa.
Sophomore Devon Spriddle is tied for 65th-place at six-over par after shooting a 78. Junior Jennifer Nguyen is tied for 76th-place at seven-over par after carding a 79.
Sophomore Emily Ross is tied for 82nd-place after shooting an 80 to sit eight-over par. Freshman Belen Abrile is 10-over par, tied for 90th-place after posting an 82 and junior MacKenzie Kelly is in 95th-place at 13-over par after carding an 83.
Furman leads the team competition at even par, one stroke in front of Texas A&M.
Kent State's Josee Doyen is three-under par to lead the individual tournament. There is a five-way tie for second-place at two-under par.
