Women's Golf Closes Season at Conference USA Championships

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team closes the 2014-15 season this week at the Conference USA Championship. The tournament, which will be Apr. 20-22, will be played at the par-72, 6,081-yard Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Fla.
Teeing off in the No. 1 position is sophomore Devon Spriddle. The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada native leads the team with an average of 75.89 strokes per round. She has on top five, two top ten and six top 20 finishes on the year.
Jennifer Nguyen will tee off in the No. 2 position. The Slidell, La., native is second on the team with a 79.37 stroke average.
Freshman Belen Abrile and sophomore Emily Ross Kelly will be in the third and fourth positions, respectively. Abrile is averaging 80.53 strokes per round while Ross is averaging 80.83.
Junior MacKenzie Kelly will tee off in the No. 5 position. The Magee, Miss., native is averaging 85.93 strokes per round this year.
Play begins at 8 a.m. CT, with the Lady Eagles teeing off from the 10th tee.
