
Doleac Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Twelve student-athletes have been named to the 2015 Conference USA Tennis All-Academic Teams, as voted by the league's Sports Information Directors for tennis. Honorees must hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and have competed in at least 75 percent of their team's scheduled matches. Ten of the selections hold GPA's of 3.75 or higher.
Southern Miss graduate Alex Doleac makes the men's team as he is a part of the Golden Eagle team that posted the school's most outstanding team GPA.
Doleac, a Hattiesburg, Miss., native is a four-time C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree and earned an academic medal for the 2014-15 season. He was a 2013 ITA Scholar Athlete. Doleac was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll three times, the President's List and the Dean's List two times. He helped the team post the department's most outstanding team GPA last season. He is a member of the C-USA Academic Team Award. He owns a 10-12 mark in singles, playing mostly at no. 4. He has a record of 14-8 in doubles competition, including a 5-2 doubles' record with Daniel Merker.
