Jenkins Named Freshman of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss' Caitlin Jenkins earned her first Conference USA honor of the season as she was voted C-USA Freshman of the Week for her performance against Ole Miss over the weekend.
Jenkins recorded a double-double with 10 points and 18 rebounds to help lead Southern Miss past in-state rival Ole Miss 57-38. The Shreveport, Louisiana, product turned in a stellar defensive performances, grabbing 10 defensive rebounds and blocking six shots as well as altering a dozen more shots. The 18 rebounds are the most by a player since 2009 and it is Jenkins' first C-USA weekly honor of her career.
