Nick Dawson, Cameron Giannini Make C-USA All-Tournament Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss senior pitcher Cameron Giannini (Danville, Va.) and sophomore second baseman Nick Dawson (Bartlett, Tenn.) were named to the 2014 Conference USA All-Tournament Team Sunday afternoon.
The duo were announced following the championship game that featured Rice defeating UTSA 11-5 at Pete Taylor Park on the Golden Eagle campus. Giannini threw a complete-game in defeating East Carolina 3-1 on Friday night. He limited the Pirates to just five hits and three walks, while fanning five in the longest outing of his three-year Golden Eagle career. Dawson hit safely in all five tournament games and hit .400 (8-for-20) in the event with a pair of runs scored and four RBI. Rice's Michael Aquino, on the strength of a .571 batting average (12-for-21) with two home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
