Women's Golf Continues Season at Jaguar Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team continues its season this weekend when it travels to Augusta, Ga., for the Jaguar Intercollegiate. The tournament, which will be Mar. 14-16, will be played at the par-72, 6,214-yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
Participating in the tournament along with Southern Miss are Boston College, Campbell, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, host GRU-Augusta, Illinois, Kansas, Lamar, Mercer, Purdue, Troy and Vanderbilt.
Teeing off in the No. 1 position is senior Brandi Rodriguez. The Orlando, Fla., native leads the team with a stroke average of 74.81. She has won her last two tournaments, including the Lady Eagle Invitational earlier this week.
Teeing off in the No. 2 position is freshman Devon Spriddle. In six tournaments this year, Spriddle has a stroke average of 81.25. She had a career-best tie for eighth-place at the Lady Eagle Invitational.
Sophomore Juliana Herrera will tee off in the No. 3 position. The Plantation, Fla., native is currently averaging 76.00 strokes per round through 10 rounds.
Senior Lauren Judson will tee off in the No. 4 position. This year, she has a stroke average of 78.23.
In the No. 5 position is sophomore Jennifer Nguyen. The Slidell, La., native is averaging 81.62 strokes per round this year.
