Getting to Know Voche' Martin

Voche' Martin is one of four seniors on the 2014-15 team. She added immediate depth and much needed height to the team a year ago. Now with one Lady Eagle season under her belt, Martin looks to be one of the leaders of the team. Martin finished the season averaging 4.1 points and 3.2 points while ranking second on the team in blocked shots.
Martin took some timeout for a sit-down with the Athletic Media Relations Office to share some information about herself.
AMR: Since your arrival, what has been your most memorable moment here at Southern Miss?
Answer: The great feeling of being nearly undefeated at home.
AMR: What do you like to do for fun outside of your sport?
Answer: I enjoy dabbling in cosmetics.
AMR: What is your major? Why?
Answer: Public Relations because I consider myself a people's person so I might as well make a career out of it.
AMR: If you didn't come to Southern Miss, where would you be?
Answer: Probably somewhere unhappy and regretting my decision.
AMR: Describe your most embarrassing athletic moment.
Answer: Losing the ball on a fastbreak.
AMR: What other sport would like to compete in other than your current sport?
Answer: Volleyball
AMR: If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
Answer: That there would be no such thing as an "over the back call."
AMR: How would you give away $50,000?
Answer: I would distribute it among different cancer organizations because cancer sucks.
AMR: What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
Answer: Gaining a full scholarship
AMR: What are your plans after graduation?
Answer: To start my public relations career.
