HATTIESBURG, Miss. - After finishing up the fall season, Southern Miss sophomore women's golfer Devon Spriddle has set a new fall stroke average record.
Through four tournaments, Spriddle averaged 74.44 strokes, topping the previous record of 75.17 strokes set by Virginia Espejo during the 2008 fall season.
Furthermore, Spriddle earned three top 20 finishes in four tournaments, including a career-best third-place finish at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational, where she opened with two-straight 70's
"Devon is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached," said Southern Miss women's golf coach Julie Gallup. "I am extremely proud of all that she has accomplished this fall and am excited about what her future as a Golden Eagle holds."
