HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's basketball concludes its regular season when the Lady Eagles host East Carolina on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Three seniors (Tanecka Carey, Ance Celmina, and Danielle Johnson) will be honored in a postgame ceremony.

Southern Miss Preview
Southern Miss enters the contest with a 13-15 overall record and 5-10 in league play following an 80-69 loss at Tulane last Sunday. Jamierra Faulkner led all scorers with a game-high 26 points while handing out five assists. Jerontay Clemons and Tanecka Carey added 13 and 12 points, respectively while Ance Celmina hauled in nine rebounds.
Faulkner continues to lead the team in scoring with 18.7 points per game average while Carey is next at 14.7. Jerontay Clemons leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game while contributing 10.1 points.
As a team, the Lady Eagles are averaging 63.0 points on 39.9 percent shooting from the field. The Black and Gold is averaging 38.2 rebounds and shooting 62.7 percent from the charity stripe.
Scouting East Carolina
East Carolina enters the game with a 21-7 record overall and 11-4 in league play following a 69-52 win against Memphis on Sunday. Whitny Edwards and Kristine Mial led the Pirates with 17 and 15 points, respectively while Tatiana Chapple pulled down eight rebounds.
Whitny Edwards leads the team with 12.1 points per game with Celeste Stewart next at 11.5 points. Britny Edwards leads the team with 8.2 rebounds per game.
East Carolina is averaging 64.4 points and 40.8 rebounds per game while shooting a 39.0 percent from the field and 65.9 percent from the line.
Series Notes
This is a 21st meeting between the two teams dating back to 2002 season. East Carolina leads the series 12-8 as the Pirates won the initial meeting. The teams have played two overtime games with Southern Miss winning both. East Carolina won the first meeting between the two teams.
What's Next?
Following the East Carolina game, the Lady Eagles head to the Conference USA Championship on March 13-16 in Tulsa, Okla.
