Champions Day Set for Oct. 6 Versus Boise State

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics has designated the Boise State game, Sat., Oct. 6, as "Champions Day" on the Golden Eagle campus.
As part of the 100 Years of Athletics celebration, Southern Miss will recognize and honor all of its championship football teams, including the 1941 team that went undefeated in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association play, the 1948, 1950, and 1951 Gulf States Conference Champions, the College Division National Championship teams of 1958 and 1962, as well as the Conference USA Championship teams from 1996, 1997, 1999, 2003 and 2011.
The championship team members will be recognized during the team's Eagle Walk prior to the contest, as well as during the game.
Individuals from these teams will be contacted in the coming days with details about the event.
