John Kahlden Advances to U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss junior golfer John Kahlden advanced to the sectional qualifying round of the U.S. Open.
Kahlden moves on to the sectional at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, N.J. on June 6.
Kahlden shot an even-par 72 at Shorehaven Golf Club in East Norwalk, Conn.
The 2011 U.S. Open will take place June 16-19 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.
Kahlden participated in four events this year, averaging 76.5 strokes over 12 rounds. His best finish was a tie for 44th-place at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.
