HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Junior Jonathan Thompson allowed one hit over eight shutout innings to lead Southern Miss to a 1-0 decision over New Orleans here Sunday afternoon at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson to complete the three-game sweep of the Privateers. The Golden Eagles won for the fifth-straight time to improve to 27-8 on the season, while the Privateers fell to 3-32.

Collin Cargill then came in to retire three straight batters, including a strikeout to end the game, to earn his fifth save of the year.
Isaac Rodriguez led the Golden Eagles with two of their eight hits, but it was Ashley Graeter's RBI single in the sixth which proved to be the difference in the contest.
