Men's Tennis Team Falls 6-1 to Louisiana-Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. - The Southern Miss men's tennis team concluded its regular season, falling 6-1 to Louisiana-Lafayette Sunday.Louisiana opened the match sweeping the doubles' competition to take the 2-0 as the Eagles were playing without a complete lineup because of injuries.
Jan Burmeister and Julien Roussel lost to Yanick Mandl and Brandon Farine at No. 1 doubles', 8-4 and Paulo Alvarado and Jovan Zeljkovic lost to Carlin Murray and Ted Nilsson 8-4.
Southern Miss claimed a point in singles' as Alvarado posted a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8) over Robert Voss at the No. 3 singles.
The Golden Eagles will next play in the Conference USA Tennis Championships, Apr. 22-24, in Tulsa, Okla.
