Rodriguez Tied for Second at Administaff Lady Jaguar Invitational

Augusta, Ga. - Freshman Brandi Rodriguez is even par after two rounds of the Administaff Lady Jaguar Invitational, hosted by Augusta State and played at the par-72, 5,963-yard Forest Hills Country Club.
The Lady Eagles are 27-over par in sixth-place.
Rodriguez opened the tournament with a 73 and followed it with a one-under 71. It is her second round of par or better this year, becoming the third Lady Eagle in history with two rounds of par or better in one season. Her 36-hole score of 144 also ties a Southern Miss record.
Senior Virginia Espejo is tied for 14th-place after shooting rounds of 75 and 73 to sit four-over par at 148. Junior Sandra Sohlberg is tied for 41st-place at 10-over par after shooting consecutive 77's.
Sophomore Vicky Correa and freshman Kelsey Gibson are tied for 70th-place at 17-over par 161. Correa shot rounds of 77 and 84, while Gibson opened with an 81 and 80.
Host Augusta State leads the tournament at five-over par, one shot ahead of second-place Purdue. UT-San Antonio is in third-place at 15-over par, followed by fourth-place Coastal Carolina (+9).
Casey Kennedy of Augusta State leads the individual competition at 10-under par. Rodriguez, Paula Reto of Purdue and UT-San Antonio's Paolo Valerio are all tied for second-place at even par.
The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round beginning at 8:00 a.m.
