Patricio Alvarado Named to All-CUSA First Team

Southern Miss sophomore Patricio Alvarado was named to the Men's Tennis All-Conference USA First Team in a vote by the league's nine coaches on Wednesday.
Alvarado makes his second appearance on the All-Conference Team after he earned All-Conference Second Team honors in 2009 as well as being named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year.
Playing at the top of the singles lineup, the Manta, Ecuador native posted a 15-13 overall record including a 12-6 record in dual matches and 4-1 in conference play. Alvarado was also one of 32 players in the nation to qualify for the ITA National Indoors.
Rounding out the first-team selections are SMU's Artem Baradach, Brock Sakey of UCF, Bruno Rosa of Rice, and Tulsa' Marcelo Arevalo and Ashley Watling.
