Baseball Remains in National Rankings at No. 29

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team dropped two spots but remained in the national polls with a No. 29 ranking this week by Collegiate Baseball Magazine.

Southern Miss also received voted in the National College Baseball Writers Poll, though they were not ranked in the top 30.

The Golden Eagles have won 12 of their last 14 games including series sweeps over East Carolina, Tulane and Houston. This past weekend the black and gold defeated No. 21 Rice in Houston before dropping the final two games of the series.

The Golden Eagles finish the last week of the regular season by hosting Mississippi State on Tuesday and a three game set with Memphis beginning on Thursday.

Southern Miss locked up one of the six spots in the Conference USA tournament this past weekend.
