Lady Eagle Golfers to Participate in Lady Jaguar Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team will travel to Mobile, Ala. for the Lady Jaguar Invitational, hosted by the University of South Alabama. The tournament will take place at the Azalea City Golf Course.
A total of 16 teams are scheduled to compete. Joining Southern Miss is Alabama State, Centenary, Florida International, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Lamar, Marshall, Memphis, Samford, South Alabama, Stetson, Troy, West Florida and Winthrop.
Play will begin on Monday with 36 holes, starting with a shotgun start at 8:30 p.m. The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
Junior Virginia Espejo leads Southern Miss on the year, averaging a score of 75.2 strokes per round in six events. The Lady Eagles opened the spring season two weeks ago, finishing in 16th place at the UM Hurricane Invitational.
