2010 Conference USA Cross Country All-Academic Teams Announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss' cross country runner Stephanie Ledgerwood was among 15 student-athletes who were named to the 2010 Conference USA All-Academic Cross Country Teams, as selected by the league's sports information contacts for cross country.
The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on their team. Four seniors, seven juniors and four sophomores make up the two honorary teams.
A perfect 4.0 Biological Sciences student, Ledgerwood has earned the C-USA Academic Medal as well as the Commissioner¡¯s Honor Roll. She has served as the top runner for the Golden Eagles in all but one event this past season. The Yuma, Ariz., native ran a season best time of 17:45 in the 5K and competed in a 6K, posting a time of 22:44.91. She ran under 20 minutes in every 5K race. She finished 23rd overall in the C-USA Cross Country Championship.
