Southern Miss vs. Alcorn State Game Notes September 5, 2009 M.M. Roberts Stadium
* Captains for Southern Miss were defensive back Cameron O'Neil, wide receiver Freddie Parham, linebacker Ronnie Thornton, offensive lineman Ryan Hebert and defensive lineman Deddrick Jones.
* Today's attendance was 36,232, setting a new M.M. Roberts Stadium record.
* Southern Miss is now 1-0 all-time against Alcorn State, as today's game marked the first time the two teams have met on the football field.
* The Golden Eagles also improve to 3-0 against the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
* Southern Miss is now 4-1 in non-conference games under head coach Larry Fedora.
* With the victory, the Golden Eagles have won six consecutive games, dating back to last year, which is currently tied for the fifth longest active streak with Ole Miss.
