Day 2 of Southern Miss Invite Cut Short

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's tennis team second hosting the Southern Miss Invite was cut short because of rain, washing out the final round of singles at the new Southern Miss Tennis Courts.
The day started with two rounds of doubles. Diego Machuca and Markus Wessinghage dropped their first match of the day with an 8-4 loss to Rod Rappaccioli and Joe Young (Tulane). The duo took the second match against Ben Smith (UNO) and Eric Fisher (Nicholls), 4-0, retired.
Strate Krstevski and Oscar Machuca lost to Coby Kramer-Golinkoff and Shay Wali (Tulane), 8-2, and dropped their second match to Dimitry Kozionov and Phenyo Matong (Nicholls), 8-5.
Felipe Sylva teamed with Anton Klochkov of William Carey to defeat Adam Bernstein and Etham Frenstein of Tulane, 8-4. The same duo dropped their second match to Abdel Zaki and Gui Rebolo (UNO), 8-3.
The team will compete next at the Georgia Tech Invitational, Oct. 2-4, in Atlanta, Ga.
