Men's Golf Heads to Adams Cup of Newport

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf squad heads to Rhode Island for the 16th Annual Adams Cup of Newport, hosted by the University of Rhode Island.
The tournament begins on Monday with the first and second rounds. The final takes place on Tuesday. Both days begin at 7 a.m. (CT).
The Orchard Course at Newport National Golf Club - from the championship tees - is a par-72, 7,244-yard course designed by legendary course architect Arthur Hills.
Along with Southern Miss, the teams participating in the event include Brown, Bryant, UCF, Connecticut, DePaul, Francis Marion, Furman, Hartford, Georgia Southern, New Mexico, Ohio State, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, SMU, Temple and William & Mary.
Southern Miss is coming off a season-opening seventh-place finish at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate.
