HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss used a two-hour practice here Wednesday afternoon to continue to get ready for its home finale Saturday at 6:30 p.m., against Tulsa.
The Golden Eagles (6-4, 4-2) look to win their second-straight game as they try to keep pace in the Conference USA East Division race. USM, along with UAB and UCF, are one game behind leader East Carolina in the standings.
Following practice Wednesday, Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora expected to see another great crowd at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium on Saturday as the team will celebrate Senior Night.
"Our fans know that we have to have them this weekend," Fedora said. "They have done a great job all year long. They have been here and been loud. They know what is at stake here and how important it is. It is the seniors' last time in `The Rock.' I know we will have a good crowd, I do not doubt that at all."
Tickets still remain for the game, Saturday, and can be purchased by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425), or going online at SouthernMiss.com as well as visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office, Monday-through-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The Southern Miss Ticket Office will be open from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Pat Ferlise Center and then move to the stadium ticket office on the northwest and southwest sides beginning at 3 p.m.
