Conference USA Names Women's Basketball Players of the Week

IRVIN, Texas - Southern Miss' Pauline Love earned the season's first Conference USA Player of the Week announced by the league office.

Love, a two-time All-C-USA first teamer, started the 2009-10 season off by recording her 40th career double-double. She scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the team's 72-53 season opening win over South Alabama Saturday. Love shot 58.8 percent from the field on 10-of-17 shooting as well as going 3-of-4 from behind the arc. The senior also dished out six assists and had one steal in 37 minutes of play. Love scored the first eight points of the game. This is her first Player of the Week honor this season and third for her career.
