Soccer Drops Season Finale at UCF, 4-0

ORLANDO - The Southern Miss soccer team dropped their season finale at UCF Friday evening, 4-0.
With the loss tonight the Golden Eagles end the season at 4-13-0 and 0-11-0 in Conference USA play.
With the victory, UCF claimed the C-USA title with a 15-3-1 record.
"Our hats are off to UCF. They are a very talented team and have a chance to go very deep into the NCAA tournament, head coach Scott Ebke said. I thought we played a much better second half and created a couple quality chances. We certainly battled for the entire game and never quit."
For the seventh time since conference play began the Golden Eagles fell behind with a goal in the first six minute of the game, tonight UCF scored the game's opening goal at the 2:10 mark.
UCF added two more goals in the first half for a 3-0 lead at intermission. The Knights added a final goal in the second period in the 80th minute.
Southern Miss managed only two shots in the game while UCF took 23.
