* Captains for Southern Miss were running back Tory Harrison, quarterback Martevious Young, defensive back Chico Hunter, and defensive lineman Anthony Gray.
* Today's attendance was 30,022.
* Southern Miss improves to 4-3 on the year and snapped a three-game losing streak.
* Southern Miss is now 38-21-1 all-time against Memphis, and 19-3 all-time in Hattiesburg.
* The Golden Eagles snapped a two game losing streak to Memphis, and was just the second victory over the Tigers in the last six games.
* Southern Miss is now 6-5 in conference games under head coach Larry Fedora.
* The Golden Eagles are now 69-27 overall and 35-13 at home in Conference USA games.
* The Golden Eagles are now 9-1 when leading at the half under Larry Fedora.

* Senior running back Damion Fletcher ran for 67 yards on 17 carries.
* Fletcher now has 4,811 yards on the career, moving him into 24th-place in NCAA history, passing Oregon State's Ken Simonton (1998-2001).
* Fletcher had touchdown runs of one and three yards, giving him seven touchdowns on the year and 43 for his career.
* Senior running back Tory Harrison's one-yard touchdown was his fourth touchdown of the year and 18th of his career.
* Senior defensive back Eddie Hicks recorded his third interception of the year and 11th of his career in the third quarter.
* Southern Miss has now forced a turnover in 18-of-20 games in the Larry Fedora era.
* Senior wide receiver Freddie Parham recorded his longest rush of his career, a 44-yarder in the third quarter.
* Parham also had a 78-yard kick return in the third quarter. It is his second return of 50-plus yards this year.
* Junior placekicker Justin Estes hit a 28-yard field goal. He now has connected on eight consecutive field goals, the longest streak of his career.
* Freshman punt returner Tracey Lampley returned a punt 50-yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. It was the first punt return for a touchdown since Marvin Young against Memphis in 2003.
* Junior defensive back Chico Hunter recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter.
