Six Former Golden Eagle Football Players on AFL Rosters

IRVING, Texas - A total of 23 players from Conference USA schools appeared on the opening day rosters of the Arena Football League when the AFL began its 22nd season last weekend. Nine of C-USA's 12 schools are represented, with players appearing on the rosters of 12 of the AFL's 17 teams.
Southern Miss had the most players on Arena League rosters, with six former Golden Eagles standouts being listed on team rosters in the indoor league. UCF had four players listed, while Houston and Memphis each have two players continuing their pro careers in the league.
The AFL regular season continues through June 22, with its games appearing each week nationally on ESPN's family of networks. Arena Bowl XXII will be played on Sunday, July 27. For more information on the Arena Football League, visit: www.arenafootball.com.
