Qdoba Invitational (Miami Host)
Women's Golf Finishes 11th at the Qdoba Invitational

Miami, Fla. - The Southern Miss women's golf team shot a team-best 309 in the final round to finish in 11th-place at the Qdoba Invitational. The tournament was played at the Don Shula Resort.
Freshmen Virginia Espejo and Jennifer Judge shot 76 and 75, respectively for a three-round total of 235 and a tie for 40th-place. Sophomore Samantha Holt tied for 48th after shooting a 78 for a total of 239. Juniors Heather Golden and Kate Burns round out the Lady Eagles by shooting an 80 and 81, respectively. Golden finished in a tie for 52nd at 242 strokes, while Burns finished in 63rd-place with a 258.
Abby Bools of East Carolina won the individual competition with a two-over par 218. There was a three-way tie for second place, with Miami's (Fla.) Jessica Steward, San Jose State's Erica Moston, and Mallory Blackwelder of Kentucky closing with a three-round score of 220.
East Carolina won the team scoring with a 23-over par 887. Louisville finished second with 901 strokes and Virginia finished in third place with 903 strokes. Miami (Fla.) earned a fourth-place finish with 907 strokes. San Jose State finished in fifth with 909 strokes, and Kansas finished sixth with 921.
Kentucky finished in seventh place with 922 strokes, followed by Mississippi State (931), New Mexico State (937), South Florida (945), Southern Miss (951) and Coastal Carolina (953).
Southern Miss will take a week off before getting back to the links, March 3-4, at the South Alabama hosted Lady Jaguar Invitational in Mobile, Ala.
