Golden Eagles Hold Bowl Workout at Tulane University

NEW ORLEANS - The Southern Miss football team held their first practice since arriving in New Orleans this morning at Tulane University in preparation for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
The Golden Eagles worked out for nearly two hours in shorts, shoulder pads and helmets on the Green Wave's two turf practice fields. Today was the typical Wednesday practice for the team finishing the installation of the game plan.
"We had a good practice today," head coach Larry Fedora said. "Today was our last real work day since tomorrow is a polish day and Saturday is a walk-through but I thought we worked much better today than we did yesterday."
The Golden Eagles will return to the practice field again tomorrow morning and are scheduled to have a walk-through on Saturday afternoon among other bowl activities.
Tickets for the game are still available at $40 for sidelines and $20 for students and can be purchased through the Pat Ferlise Athletic Ticket Office on West 4th St., from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., over the phone at 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or online at SouthernMiss.com.
Starting Friday, Southern Miss will open its ticket office in New Orleans at the Hilton Riverside (2 Poydras St.) for ticket sales and will call pickup. The phone number for the ticket office will be 504-586-4661. -southernmiss.com-
