Lady Eagles Take Four Games In Fall Action This Weekend

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team continued its fall season with four games this weekend.
On Saturday, The Lady Eagles posted an 11-5 win over Millsaps College, before coming back to tie William Carey, 5-5.
The following day, Southern Miss took a doubleheader from Jones Junior College, 17-0 and 8-4.
Southern Miss finished Saturday with 10 hits that included a double, a triple and two home runs, including a grand slam by Alexis Hurley.
The pitching staff allowed only one extra-base hit while striking out 12. On Sunday, the Golden Eagles combined for 29 hits, including five doubles, while the pitching staff allowed no extra base hits and struck out 16 batters.
Southern Miss concludes their fall slate this Wednesday, Oct. 15, when they host a doubleheader against Perl River CC at 4 p.m..
