Baseball's Dozier Named to CBF National Honor Roll

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Shortstop Brian Dozier has been selected by the College Baseball Foundation as a National Honor Roll Player of the Week, following his performance last weekend in the Coca-Cola Southern Miss Baseball Classic.

As the Golden Eagles' leadoff hitter, the sophomore reached base eight of 15 plate appearances for a .533 on-base percentage, allowing the Golden Eagles to go 3-0 in the tournament. He hit .500 for the week (6x12) and also finished with six total bases for a .500 slugging percentage. He also had a sacrifice fly and was hit by a pitch.
