TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Southern Miss baseball team will face Troy in an elimination game at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday.
The Trojans dropped a 4-3 decision to Alabama on Saturday night, as the Crimson Tide won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. Southern Miss stayed alive in the regional with a 6-2 victory over Jacksonville State, as the Gamecocks were eliminated.
Southern Miss will look to avenge a 10-8 loss to Troy on Friday, in the opening game of the Tuscaloosa Regional.
Should Southern Miss defeat Troy, the Golden Eagles would move on to a 6:30 p.m., championship contest against Alabama, needing to beat the Crimson Tide twice to win the Tuscaloosa Regional.
If the Golden Eagles win twice on Sunday, that will set up a winner take all championship match-up at 2 p.m., on Monday.
