White Signs With NFL's Packers

White becomes the third Golden Eagle to ink a free agent contract, joining Antoine Cash (Atlanta Falcons) and Corey Yates (Washington Redskins). In addition, Michael Boley was drafted in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons (160th overall)while Jeremy Parquet was taken in the seventh by the Kansas City Chiefs (238th overall).
The Winona, Miss., native transferred to Southern Miss from Holmes Community College in 2003, and started all 25 games in his career as a Golen Eagle.
White helped the Golden Eagles to a 9-4 record and 8-0 record in Conference USA title in 2003. He also won the ?Hawg of the Year? award, a team award given to the best offensive lineman in 2003.
In 2004, he allowed only one sack, four pancakes and 53 knockdowns. He was part of the offensive line that helped the Golden Eagle offense accumulate 3,915 yards of total offense (1,739 rushing, 2,176 passing), 326.2 yards of offense a contest and 4.8 yards per game, while scoring 25.8 points a game.
