Women's Golf Set To Host Lady Eagle Invitational
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team hosts the final regular season tournament of the season, beginning Monday at Canebrake Country Club.
The two-day, 54-hole event also includes UAB, Birmingham Southern, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Middle Tennesee, Lispcomb, UNO, Nicholls State, Samford, South Alabama and Troy State.
First round action is set for 8 a.m., and second round play begins immediately after. Third round is set for 8 a.m., Tuesday.
Southern Miss is led by two senior golfers, Jennifer Keefe and Natasha Vincent, and also has one junior, Ashlea Deener. The team also includes sophomores Mia Davidsson, Nicole Mackey and Beth Sprague and freshmen Helena Backlund, Jennifer Bodemann and Lina Jorneskog.
Following this event, Southern Miss takes a week off to prepare for the Conference USA Tournament at the Germantown Country Club in Germantown, Tenn.
