Women's Golf Finishes Third In Snowbird Intercollegiate
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Southern Miss Lady Eagle golf team finished third in the Northern Illinois Snowbird Intercollegiate Tournament after shooting a team score of 314, Friday, at the Pebblecreek Country Club.
The tournament was slated for three rounds before rains canceled the first day of play on Thursday.
Nicole Mackey led Southern Miss in scoring with a 77, tying for ninth overall. Mia Davidsson and Jennifer Bodemann both followed with 78s and tied for 14th overall. Jennifer Keefe and Ashlea Deener also participated, each firing an 81 to tie for 26th.
Yale won the team competition with a combined total of 305, while Minnesota scored a 309. Following Southern Miss, Iowa (315) and Southern Illinois (316) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
