Men's Golf Competes In 2005 Nokia Sugar Bowl Invitational HATTIESBURG, Miss. ?
This is the first tournament of the season for Southern Miss. Along with the Golden Eagles, 12 other schools will compete in the event, including host Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette, Southeastern Louisiana, New Orleans, Ole Miss, South Alabama, UNC-Wilmington, Tulsa, Notre Dame, West Florida, Middle Tennessee State and Jacksonville State.
The men's golf team, under the direction of Head Coach Steve Johnson, competed in five events in the fall, with a second-place finish at the Fairway Club Invitational in Nebraska, and a third-place finish in the USA Fall Beach Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Play begins with a pair of rounds today, with the first beginning at 7:30 a.m., CT. Tuesday's action includes the final round and is set to begin at 8 a.m., CT.
