Southern Miss Set For Weekend Games Louisville and Cincinnati

HATTIESBURG, Miss.
-- The Southern Miss Lady Eagles hit the road for a pair of games at Louisville and Cincinnati this weekend, looking to earn a berth to the conference tournament. This is the last meeting between the teams as members of Conference USA.Southern Miss (9-15, 3-8) is coming off a 54-68 loss to USF on Sunday. Emer Foley registered her fourth double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. USF led 44-42 at the 12:27 mark, when the Bulls scored 10 unanswered points over 3:34 for a 12-point lead. Southern Miss cut the lead to eight points, but the Bulls answered the run again. Deondra Carter and Shannon Stueber scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. Freshman Liz Biland, who missed both games last weekend with a hand injury, should be available for play.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.7 points and Deondra Carter is averaging 11.2 points. Foley leads the team in rebounding at 5.9 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 57.7 points and 35.3 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 72.1 percent from the free throw line.
Following the Louisville game, Southern Miss continues its road swing, playing at Cincinnati on Sunday. Southern Miss wraps up the regular season at Tulane on Feb. 26.
