Lady Eagles Wrap Up Regular Season Home Schedule

The Southern Miss Lady Eagles wrap up their regular season home portion schedule when they host USF at 2 p.m., on Sunday. Southern Miss is riding a three-game winning streak, the longest of the season.
Southern Miss (9-14, 3-7) is coming off a 65-61 conference win over UAB on Friday night. Freshman Shannon Stueber scored a game-high 24 points while Deondra Carter and Emer Foley scored 16 and 10 points, respectively. Southern Miss led 59-58 when Stueber hit a running jumper in the lane with 1:26 remaining, giving the Lady Eagles a three-point advantage. Foley then got loose for an easy layup to give Southern Miss a five-point cushion. Stueber sealed the win, hitting both free throws with 12 seconds remaining.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.9 points, while Deondra Carter is averaging 11.2 points and Dianca Jones is averaging 10.0 points. Foley leads the team in rebounding at 5.5 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 57.9 points and 35.1 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 71.9 percent from the free throw line.
Following the USF game, Southern Miss hits the road for three-straight games to close out the regular season.
